The Viking!

I hinted at it in a previous post after seeing some signs around the Depot banning the Viking from certain areas. However, I can now show you the subject of the signs – the Viking! The Viking is a road and rail vehicle that can be used to move trains, mainly in and out of an area that has no overhead wiring or no electric current in the overhead wiring. I have seen it move but not while attached to a train yet.

For more detail on the Viking and similar machines, visit the Manufacturer’s official site here.

  1. So thats what a Viking Shunter looks like. Had been wondering all this time.

Jen, I was wondering too. They haven’t officially told us about who will be driving it or where in the depot it can go. Based on where the signs are though, it may be a case of “signpost everywhere it can’t go, just in case”. They’d put signs up where the rails are higher than the ground.

  3. HORTHBAR IS DISAPPOINTED!

HORTHBAR HAPPENED ON THIS PAGE UPON SEARCHING FOR MUSINGS BEARING THE WORD “VIKING”. HORTHBAR HAD HOPED TO PERUSE GREAT, GRIPPING TALES OF HIS FELLOW NOBLE WARRIORS, PREFERABLY INVOLVING PILLAGING OF HELPLESS CITIZENRY AND VAST AMOUNTS OF UNNECESSARY BLOODSHED!

INSTEAD HORTHBAR FINDS PORTRAITS OF SOME HIDEOUS METALLIC CONTRAPTION SEEMINGLY SPRUNG FROM THE DISEASED IMAGININGS OF EDVARD MUNCH! THIS ANGERS HORTHBAR!
