Erk Pod joins NaPodPoMo!

“What are you doing every day in November?”

Apart from National ____________ Awareness Month, November is NaPodPoMo. Let’s go really slow as I explain this one. NaPodPoMo was created using NaNoWriMo as a base. NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writers Month) started in 1999 and the idea was to write a novel in a month. Anyone who writes over 50000 words in November is a winner.

Last year in 2007, the concept of NaNoWriMo was adopted for podcasting. Both NaNoWriMo and NaPodPoMo take place in November. Despite the name, both events take place within and beyond the borders of the US.

NaPodPoMo (National Podcast Post Month) is coming up and using my experiences with Erk Pod Mini, I have decided to take part in NaPodPoMo this year. Because November is the 11th month of the year, I will be doing an 11 minute podcast each day for November in addition to regular Erk Pod episodes.

I know that I can do NaPodPoMo pretty easy because of doing Erk Pod Mini mostly uninterrupted from January to May this year. But that is not where NaPodPoMo ends for Erk Pod. I’ve invited co-host Drue, Orange Tim and Squeak to join in as well. So the plan is (subject to change, of course) for Drue, Orange Tim, Squeak and I to do separate podcast episodes each day. At the moment, I am planning to do that on the Erk Pod Mini feed.

The Erk Pod NaPodPoMo page will be updated when required and will be the focus of Erk Pod’s combined efforts for NaPodPoMo. Updated posts will also update you when needed. There will be no change to regular Erk Pod episodes.
